The most expensive tooth is the one discovered late. A pinpoint cavity is fixed in 15 minutes for little money; the same cavity a year later can mean root canal treatment, a crown or an extraction. The preventive check-up exists exactly for that — to catch problems while they are small, cheap and painless.
What does a check-up include? A detailed review of every tooth, the gums and soft tissues, an assessment of existing dental work, a search for the earliest changes you cannot feel — and an X-ray when needed. You leave with a clear plan: what is healthy, what we monitor, what we treat and in what order.
How often? For most adults — every 6 months. Children, pregnant women, smokers, people with diabetes and patients with gum disease or implants come more often, on a plan we agree together.
No fear, no surprises. The examination is painless and takes 20–30 minutes. If we find something, you hear every option and price up front — we do nothing without your consent. For children we turn the visit into a game so the dentist becomes a friend from day one — more on children’s dentistry.
Tip: combine it with a cleaning. The most efficient pattern is check-up + scaling and Airflow polishing in one visit — teeth examined, cleaned, and you are set for the next six months.
