PURASOMES at a glance
- What it is: an acellular line using bovine-colostrum-derived secretome components and extracellular vesicles.
- What we offer: NC150+ Skin Nutri Complex for skin-quality protocols, SGC100+ Skin Glow Complex for radiance and uneven tone, and HSC50+ Skin & Hair Complex for scalp protocols.
- AMPLEX+: the manufacturer’s name for a technology/formulation platform combining purified vesicles with other bioactive components; manufacturer technical claims are not independent clinical evidence.
- Application: topical within a professionally planned protocol, often with microneedling or another procedure temporarily increasing skin permeability. We do not inject preparations not authorised for injection.
- Evidence: published studies support biological activity of bovine-colostrum vesicles in laboratory and preclinical models; direct independent human evidence for the exact PURASOMES formulations remains limited.
- Price: depends on product, area and combined procedure; see the price list.

What is PURASOMES?
PURASOMES is a commercial line containing secretome components and extracellular vesicles isolated from bovine colostrum. Colostrum is the biologically rich first mammary secretion after calving and contains proteins, lipids and signalling molecules. PURASOMES products are not stem cells and contain no living human cells.
Precise naming matters. An exosome is a scientifically defined subgroup of extracellular vesicles; secretome includes vesicles and soluble molecules. The manufacturer describes PURASOMES as a secretome-vesicle platform, so it is more accurate to discuss each formulation than reduce every product to the marketing label “exosomes”.
How does PURASOMES differ from the broad term “exosomes”?
Our Exosomes page explains extracellular-vesicle biology, source heterogeneity and the wider clinical literature. This page covers the specific PURASOMES formulations offered by ESTERA.
Source is a key distinction. Aesthetic studies examine vesicles from human mesenchymal cells, platelets, plants and other sources. PURASOMES uses bovine colostrum. Because origin, composition and manufacturing differ, findings from one preparation cannot automatically be attributed to another.
AMPLEX+ technology: known facts and manufacturer claims
Dermoaroma describes AMPLEX+ as a process for isolating and purifying extracellular vesicles from bovine colostrum, formulated with other bioactive components including soluble proteins and growth factors. Manufacturer materials show particle characterisation and laboratory bioactivity tests.
These data help assess product identity and biological rationale, but do not replace an independent randomised clinical trial. Claims about particle count, composition, stability, fibroblast proliferation, oxidative stress, melanogenesis or follicular activity are presented as manufacturer or laboratory findings until confirmed by good-quality human studies of the exact commercial formulation.
NC150+ Skin Nutri Complex
NC150+ is directed towards protocols for mature, dry and photodamaged skin, where aims include quality, texture, hydration and support after a controlled procedure. The manufacturer describes bovine-colostrum vesicles combined with a bioactive complex.
A 2022 study by Han and colleagues examined bovine-colostrum vesicles and NC150+ in models of aged and damaged skin cells. The findings were mainly laboratory based, including fibroblast proliferation/metabolic activity and a scratch-migration model. They support a mechanism but do not determine the magnitude of a patient’s clinical outcome.
SGC100+ Skin Glow Complex
SGC100+ is directed towards protocols for skin lacking radiance or even tone. Manufacturer materials show its use with microneedling and describe ingredients and laboratory mechanisms related to oxidative stress and melanogenesis.
This does not mean it independently treats melasma or another pigmentary disease. Discolouration has many causes, and poorly selected procedural trauma can worsen post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Assessment, phototype, pigment activity, photoprotection and treatments with stronger evidence remain central.
HSC50+ Skin & Hair Complex
HSC50+ is a scalp formulation intended to support the follicular environment in selected protocols. The manufacturer discusses microneedling and pathways related to dermal papilla activity and telogen-to-anagen transition.
A 2022 preclinical study examined colostrum-derived vesicles for follicle growth and telogen-anagen transition. Such findings do not prove that HSC50+ treats androgenetic alopecia or replaces standard treatment. The cause of hair loss must be assessed first; sudden, scarring or inflammatory loss requires diagnostic priority.
How is treatment planned and delivered?
Selection between NC150+, SGC100+ and HSC50+ depends on area, skin or scalp condition, aim and contraindications. Product is applied topically within a protocol that may include microneedling, fractional laser or another procedure creating temporary microchannels. Depth, intensity and interval depend on phototype, barrier integrity and the primary procedure.
There is no universal PURASOMES protocol. Case photographs and session counts in manufacturer presentations do not establish an optimal regimen. At ESTERA, we check the label, lot, packaging, storage and permitted route; we do not inject a preparation not authorised for injection.
Scientific evidence and its limitations
The most direct published studies of bovine-colostrum vesicles show potential in experimental models of aged or damaged skin cells, inflammation and wound repair, and follicular activity. This is relevant biological rationale.
However, preclinical activity is not clinical efficacy of a finished product. Large independent randomised human trials remain lacking for each PURASOMES formulation, standardised protocol, active comparator and long-term follow-up. Broader human “exosome” literature cannot close this gap because sources and formulations differ.
We therefore do not promise percentages, “cellular rejuvenation”, a cure for pigmentation or hair growth. Potential benefit is described as individual, gradual and dependent on product and combined procedure.
Safety, contraindications and recovery
Risk depends on both product and primary procedure. After microneedling or laser, temporary redness, warmth, tightness, swelling, flaking or pinpoint bleeding may occur. Less commonly, infection, prolonged inflammation, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, herpes reactivation, allergy or another unexpected reaction may occur. Animal origin warrants caution with known ingredient hypersensitivity.
Treatment is postponed with active infection, an open wound, active herpes or significant inflammatory dermatosis. Pregnancy and breastfeeding, coagulation disorders, medicines affecting healing, immune disease, keloid tendency and active cancer require individual assessment and may contraindicate treatment.
Aftercare follows the primary procedure: gentle cleansing and agreed skincare, without acids, retinoids or irritants until the barrier recovers. Make-up, strenuous exercise, swimming, sauna and intense heat are postponed as instructed. Broad-spectrum photoprotection is essential.
How much does PURASOMES treatment cost?
Price depends on product, treatment area and combined procedure. The plan and final price are confirmed at consultation. See the current aesthetic medicine price list.
Frequently asked questions about PURASOMES
Is PURASOMES the same as every “exosome” treatment?
No. PURASOMES is a specific bovine-colostrum line. Other products may use human, platelet, plant or other sources and differ in composition and quality.
Does PURASOMES contain stem cells?
It contains no living stem cells. According to manufacturer documentation, it uses purified extracellular vesicle/secretome components derived from bovine colostrum.
Which product is right for me?
NC150+ is considered for mature, dry or photodamaged skin quality; SGC100+ for radiance and uneven tone; HSC50+ for scalp protocols. Final selection requires consultation.
Is PURASOMES injected?
At ESTERA it is applied topically within a selected protocol, often using microchannels created by another procedure. We do not inject a preparation not authorised for injection.
How many treatments are needed?
There is no number that suits everyone. It depends on product, aim, primary procedure and tissue response. Manufacturer cases using a particular session count are not a universal recommendation.
Does HSC50+ treat alopecia?
We do not present it as an alopecia medicine. It may be an adjunct after assessment of the cause of hair loss; established treatments take priority where indicated.
