Non-surgical nose correction at a glance

  • What it is: reshaping the nose with hyaluronic acid fillers (rhinofiller), with botulinum when needed – no surgery
  • What it corrects: asymmetry, irregularities and a dorsal hump, a drooping nasal tip, minor irregularities and defects
  • Treatment time: about 30 minutes, with anaesthetic cream
  • Recovery: minimal; patients resume their activities the same day
  • Duration of effect: 12-18 months, individually

What is non-surgical nose correction?

Non-surgical nose correction (rhinofiller) is an injectable method that reshapes the nose with hyaluronic acid fillers, and in some cases with botulinum – without surgery, general anaesthesia or downtime. The method is intended for people who want a more harmonious profile and nose shape but are not ready for surgery – or for whom surgery is objectively unnecessary.

Although it sounds paradoxical, adding volume to precisely chosen points can make the nose look smaller and more regular: the filler fills depressions and straightens the line of the bridge, so the hump „disappears“ into an even profile. That is why this method requires both experience and the aesthetic judgement of the doctor.

What can be corrected?

  • a dorsal hump and bridge irregularities – the filler fills the depressions above and below the hump, so the profile looks straight;
  • nasal asymmetry;
  • a drooping nasal tip – the tip can be visually lifted;
  • minor irregularities and defects of the bridge or tip;
  • consequences of minor injuries or previous procedures (selectively).

Who is a candidate – and who is not?

The best candidates are people with mild to moderate profile irregularities: a hump, depressions, asymmetry or a drooping tip. The method is not a universal solution: pronounced deformities, major structural deviations and functional problems such as septal deviation are resolved exclusively by surgery. At the consultation we assess realistically what fillers can achieve – and when surgery is the more honest recommendation.

What does the treatment look like?

After the examination and profile analysis, the skin of the nose is treated with an antiseptic and anaesthetic cream is applied. The filler is then injected into precisely chosen points; the application itself takes a few minutes, and the whole treatment about 30 minutes. The result is visible immediately, and the final look settles within a few days as the product integrates. The patient resumes usual activities the same day.

Results and duration

The result is immediate and natural: a straighter bridge line, a more harmonious profile, a visually smaller and more regular nose. Since hyaluronic acid is resorbable, the effect is not permanent – it usually lasts 12-18 months, after which the treatment can be repeated if desired. An advantage of the non-surgical method is that it is reversible: hyaluronic acid can be dissolved if needed.

Aftercare recommendations

  • first day: no rubbing or massaging the nose, no make-up on the area, no cosmetic treatments;
  • next 3 days: no intense physical effort and no glasses pressing on the bridge;
  • first 2 weeks: avoid the sauna and steam bath;
  • first 4 days: no sunbathing or tanning beds.

Frequently asked questions about non-surgical nose correction

How can a filler make the nose look smaller?

A hump and irregularities create shadows and breaks in the profile line. When the filler fills the depressions around them, the bridge line becomes straight – so the nose, although fractionally larger in volume, appears smaller and more harmonious.

Is the treatment painful?

Anaesthetic cream is applied before treatment, so most patients feel only mild pressure during the application. The application itself takes a few minutes.

How long does the result last?

Usually 12-18 months, depending on the product and individual metabolism. The treatment can then be repeated if desired.

Is the result reversible?

Yes – since hyaluronic acid is used, the product can be dissolved with the enzyme hyaluronidase if needed.

When is surgery needed instead of fillers?

With pronounced structural deformities, functional problems (septal deviation, impaired breathing) and when the patient wants a radical change in nose size. This is assessed at the consultation.
