What is Cellbooster and how does it work?
Cellbooster is an injectable skin booster made by the Swiss manufacturer Suisselle – a Class III medical device with CE marking and the first CE-marked stabilised complex booster on the market. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, whose role is to restore volume and shape contours, skin boosters act on the quality of the skin itself: hydration, elasticity, tone and texture.
Every Cellbooster formula is a stabilised complex of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid, amino acids and vitamins, selected to match the skin’s innate physiology. Stabilisation is achieved through the patented CHAC technology (Swiss patent CH715653B1): the mixture undergoes simultaneous pressure and shear deformation, producing molecular complexes in which the active ingredients stabilise the hyaluronic acid. The hyaluronic acid thereby becomes an optimal vehicle for essential nutrients, their bioavailability increases, and after application the product is released gradually into the skin, which contributes to longer-lasting results.
This approach is part of the wider concept of bioregenerative aesthetic medicine: rather than merely correcting the visible signs of ageing, treatment stimulates the skin’s natural repair and regeneration mechanisms from within. The clinical studies behind this technology have shown improved cutaneous hydration and viscoelasticity, improved dermal structure and firmness, and stimulation of collagen and elastin production (see references).
It is worth emphasising: Cellbooster does not replace hyaluronic acid fillers – it complements them. While fillers restore lost volume and smooth wrinkles, a skin booster strengthens the skin from within, so in combination they deliver more natural and more durable results.
Four formulas for different skin and hair needs
Cellbooster comes in four formulations, each with precisely selected active ingredients and a clearly defined goal. The choice of formula is made at consultation, in line with the condition of your skin and the result you want.
CELLBOOSTER® GLOW
A formula designed for nourishment, moisturising and deep hydration of the skin, while reducing hyperpigmentation and fighting oxidative stress. It restores dermal structural integrity and neutralises free radicals. It contains stabilised hyaluronic acid with amino acids (cysteine, glutathione, lysine, arginine, proline) and vitamins C and biotin. It is recommended for dry and dehydrated skin, loss of firmness and elasticity, fine lines and an uneven complexion.
CELLBOOSTER® LIFT
A formula designed to diminish the effects of ageing: it fills soft tissue, prevents oxidative stress and provides deep hydration. It stimulates collagen production and improves microcirculation and cell nutrition. It contains stabilised hyaluronic acid with amino acids (arginine, glycine, lysine, proline) and vitamins B, C and E. It is used for lax skin, fine lines and acne scars, as well as in preparing the skin for surgical and other aesthetic procedures.
CELLBOOSTER® SHAPE
A body formula: it reduces localised fat accumulation, water retention and puffiness by improving microcirculation and hydration. It contains stabilised hyaluronic acid with L-carnitine and vitamin C. Indications include cellulite, localised fat deposits and a feeling of heaviness related to fluid retention.
CELLBOOSTER® HAIR
A formula designed for the scalp and hair: it strengthens hair follicles, improves growth and microcirculation, and restores the structure of the scalp skin and the hair fibre. It contains stabilised hyaluronic acid with amino acids (arginine, cysteine, glutamine, glycine, lysine), B-group vitamins (B2, B5, B6, biotin), rutin, copper and zinc. It is recommended for increased hair shedding, thin and damaged hair, and a dehydrated scalp.
What does the treatment involve?
Everything begins with a consultation: Dr Nenad Stanković assesses the condition of your skin or scalp, discusses your goals with you and proposes a formula and treatment plan. The procedure itself is minimally invasive: the product is applied with fine needles using a technique adapted to the area, and an anaesthetic cream can be applied beforehand for greater comfort. The treatment takes less than half an hour and requires no downtime – you return to your usual activities straight afterwards.
Who is the treatment for, and when is it postponed?
Cellbooster is intended for all skin types, all genders and adults of all ages – whether used preventively, to preserve skin quality, or where changes such as dehydration, loss of firmness or an uneven complexion are already present. In line with the manufacturer’s instructions for use, the treatment is not performed in cases of:
- acute infectious diseases and severe somatic or mental illness,
- autoimmune and allergic diseases, as well as known hypersensitivity to any component of the product,
- inflammation or infection in the treatment area, or varicose veins in that area,
- a tendency to develop keloids and hypertrophic scarring,
- existing temporary or permanent implants in the same area,
- anticoagulant therapy,
- concurrent laser treatment, deep chemical peels or dermabrasion,
- pregnancy and breastfeeding, and in children.
Recovery and aftercare
No recovery period is needed. After the application there may be stinging, redness or a slight local inflammation that resolves within 24 to 48 hours, and occasionally mild swelling or small bruises that settle within the same period. You should not apply make-up for 12 hours after the treatment, and for two weeks you should avoid prolonged exposure to the sun and UV radiation, severe cold, saunas and hammams. If you notice anything unusual after the treatment, contact the practice.
How many treatments are needed?
For optimal results, an initial course of three treatments is recommended for the GLOW, LIFT and SHAPE formulas, and six treatments for the HAIR formula, spaced about two weeks apart. Changes in the skin and scalp are gradual and become more visible with time; to maintain the effect, treatments can be repeated occasionally, according to an individual plan.
How much does Cellbooster treatment cost?
The price depends on the formula and the number of treatments in the course. Current prices are listed in our price list, and an exact estimate and plan are provided at consultation, after examination.
Frequently asked questions about Cellbooster
Is Cellbooster treatment painful?
The treatment is well tolerated. It is applied with fine needles, and an anaesthetic cream can be applied beforehand, so you generally feel only a mild sting. The procedure itself takes less than half an hour.
When are results visible?
Changes are gradual: part of the effect, such as better hydration and skin freshness, is noticeable early, while the full effect develops over the course of treatment and the following weeks.
What is the difference between Cellbooster and hyaluronic acid fillers?
Hyaluronic acid fillers restore volume and shape the contours of the face, while Cellbooster acts on the quality of the skin itself – hydration, elasticity and tone. The two treatments therefore do not compete but complement each other: the filler shapes, and the skin booster cares for the foundation.
What is the difference between Cellbooster and botulinum toxin (Botox)?
Botox acts on the muscles – it relaxes the mimic musculature and thereby softens lines caused by movement. Cellbooster acts within the skin: it nourishes, hydrates and stimulates renewal, with no effect on facial expression. The choice depends on the cause of the changes you wish to address, and the two are often combined.
How long do the results last?
Duration is individual and depends on the formula, the area treated and your own organism. Thanks to the stabilised CHAC formulation, the product is released gradually, and the effect is maintained by repeating the treatment occasionally, according to the plan agreed at consultation.
Can Cellbooster be combined with other treatments?
Yes. A skin booster is designed as a complement to other procedures – particularly hyaluronic acid fillers – and is often included in broader protocols alongside mesotherapy, PRP or facial biorevitalisation. The combination is determined by the doctor, in line with the indications.
