Hair and scalp treatments: a plan for fuller, better-cared-for hair

Fuller-looking, well-cared-for hair starts with the right choice. A widening part, a receding hairline and short, broken strands call for different solutions. Instead of adding another random product, start with a plan that separates a follicle problem from damage to the hair shaft.

Shedding or breakage?

Hair shedding, hereditary thinning and breakage are different problems. An assessment helps decide whether further tests or a dermatologist visit are needed. Sudden loss, bald patches, pain or marked scalp changes deserve prompt medical assessment.

Medical options: match treatment to the cause

For hereditary thinning, a doctor may consider treatment such as topical minoxidil. PRP may be added in selected cases with gradual follow-up. Explore ESTERA’s existing mesotherapy and Fotona HAIRestart pages too. These methods have different evidence and are not interchangeable solutions for every kind of hair loss.

Cellbooster Hair: an injectable scalp complex

CELLBOOSTER® Hair is a medical device from the Swiss company Suisselle, injected into the scalp using a mesotherapy technique. According to the manufacturer, it is a complex of stabilised hyaluronic acid (18 mg, 6 mg/ml) with amino acids and vitamins, made with patented CHAC technology and designed to strengthen hair follicles, support microcirculation and restore the structure of the scalp skin and the hair fibre.

  • Composition (per the manufacturer): hyaluronic acid; amino acids (arginine, cysteine, glutamine, glycine, lysine); vitamins (niacin, pantothenic acid B5, pyridoxine B6, biotin B7, cyanocobalamin B12, rutin); copper and zinc.
  • Who it is for: the manufacturer lists indications such as hair loss, hair breakage, scalp dehydration, dandruff and premature graying linked to hormonal imbalance, stress, seborrhea, psoriasis, or nutrient and trace-element deficiencies, as well as hair fibre damage after dyeing, perming, sun or heat styling.
  • How it is given: into the epidermis and dermis of the scalp near the hair roots. The manufacturer’s intensive course is 6 treatments at 2-3 week intervals, followed by a support course of 1 treatment per month if needed.
  • Before a hair transplant: according to the manufacturer, use before the procedure may improve transplant results.

Where does it fit in a plan? Cellbooster Hair works on the quality of the scalp skin and the environment around the hair. It does not replace PRP, mesotherapy or Fotona HAIRestart, and it is not presented as a treatment for the cause of hereditary hair loss. At a consultation we assess whether it makes sense on its own or alongside other methods, and in what order. Product details: Cellbooster at ESTERA. HAIRestart is not an at-home laser cap

According to Fotona, HAIRestart uses non-ablative Er:YAG SMOOTH pulses to heat the scalp in a controlled way. An at-home low-level laser device uses a different technology and protocol. Suitability and expectations need assessment, rather than a promise that every form of alopecia will respond.

Cosmetic care for damaged hair

Dryness, tangling and breakage after bleaching or heat call for gentler care and less ongoing damage. Conditioner and careful styling can improve manageability and appearance. They do not treat hereditary hair loss.

What belongs in your home routine?

Choose a routine for your scalp and hair length, rather than the longest list of promises on a package. Shampoo, masks, medicines and supplements have different roles. Introduce medicines and supplements with medical advice, not as automatic solutions for shedding.

A plan for men and women

Men often notice changes at the temples or crown; women may notice a widening part. The plan follows the cause, habits and goals. For men, hair care also connects with ESTERA4MEN’s discreet approach to looking well cared for.

Consultation and follow-up

Bring a list of medicines and products and explain when the change began. Agree on priorities, follow-up and photos taken in the same conditions. Hair-growth outcomes are assessed over months, not after one shampoo.
