A lifted face, still your features: what would you like to change?

A liquid facelift is considered when the face looks tired or „sagged“: downturned mouth corners, deeper nasolabial folds, loss of cheek volume, a less defined jawline or a heavier-looking lower face. Instead of changing your features, the goal is to restore support where time has taken it away – the face looks lifted, and you still look like you. Where there is significant excess skin, fillers cannot replace surgery; that is discussed openly at your consultation.

More than filler: a whole-face strategy

A liquid facelift is not „filling wrinkles“. It is the planned restoration of support at strategic points – the cheeks, temples, jawline and chin – so the face regains balance and definition. Depending on your goals, the plan can include botulinum toxin for movement-related wrinkles, collagen stimulators or laser treatments. Assessing the whole face, rather than a single line, is what sets this approach apart from a one-off filler treatment.

What treatment at ESTERA looks like

Everything starts with a consultation and facial analysis: proportions, asymmetries, skin quality and your goals. Treatment usually takes 30-60 minutes. Numbing cream or local anaesthetic is used as needed, and the choice of a fine needle or a blunt-tipped cannula depends on the area and the doctor’s assessment. Most patients return to their usual routine the same day.

Which products are used

At ESTERA, the liquid facelift is performed with hyaluronic fillers from the Revanesse line, which is always in stock at the clinic; volumising formulas such as Shape+, Contour+ and Ultra+ are used for contour and support. Where longer-term collagen stimulation is the goal, the plan can include collagen stimulators – Radiesse or the PLLA products Lanluma and aesPlla. Product choice and amounts are decided individually after assessment.

Liquid facelift, threads or laser: which suits you?

A liquid facelift with fillers restores volume and contour. Thread lifts reposition and anchor tissue – a different mechanism and a different result. Fotona4D laser lifting tightens skin and improves its quality without a needle. For some patients the best answer is a combination of methods. Which route fits you is assessed at consultation, based on your skin, goals and schedule.

Results and recovery

The change is visible straight after treatment and refines over the following days as any swelling settles. As a guide, results last around 12-18 months depending on the area, the product and your metabolism; maintenance is planned individually. Swelling, tenderness or bruising can occur and usually pass. You receive written aftercare instructions; do not massage treated areas unless your doctor advises it.

Safety and limits

Hyaluronic fillers carry the advantage that they can be dissolved with hyaluronidase when needed. Possible side effects include swelling, bruising, asymmetry or small palpable lumps; most are temporary. A rare but serious complication is blockage of a blood vessel, which is why technique, treatment areas and amounts are chosen with care and the risks are explained before treatment. Treatment is postponed during pregnancy and breastfeeding, with an active infection in the area, and in certain medical conditions. Fillers do not remove significant excess skin and do not replace a surgical facelift where that is the appropriate answer.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a liquid facelift last?

As a guide, 12-18 months depending on the area and the product; maintenance is planned individually at consultation.

Does the treatment hurt?

Numbing cream or local anaesthetic is used as needed; you feel pressure, and most patients tolerate the treatment well.

Will I look „overfilled“?

The goal is support and balance, not volume for its own sake; the plan is built specifically against an overfilled look.

Can I go back to work the same day?

Most patients can; swelling or bruising is possible and temporary.
