Hair that is easier to detangle and looks better cared for does not always need another intensive procedure. When dryness and breakage dominate, start by reducing further damage and matching care to your hair.
Is the problem in the hair length?
Short broken strands, dry ends and difficult detangling can follow heat or chemical damage. A widening part, visible scalp or increased shedding also needs assessment of the scalp and follicles. Both problems can occur together.
Make conditioner a basic step
Use conditioner after shampooing and remove tangles gently. Massage shampoo mainly into the scalp without roughly rubbing the lengths. Choose any extra mask according to how your hair responds, rather than adding more products by default.
Heat and chemical treatments
Reduce frequent blow-drying, flat ironing and harsh chemical changes. Use a lower heat setting and allow partial air-drying. Before more bleaching or straightening, discuss the condition with a hairstylist, especially if hair is already breaking.
Choosing salon care
Ask for the ingredients, purpose and process, rather than choosing by a treatment name. Smoother-looking hair is not treatment for alopecia. This guide supports cosmetic-care choices; it does not present salon services as ESTERA procedures.
Between salon visits
Absorb water gently instead of rubbing with a towel. Detangle without pulling. Let straight hair dry a little before combing; detangle tightly curled or textured hair while damp. Avoid styles that keep pulling on the roots.
When assessment is the better next step
If care does not help, or you notice thinning, itching, pain or scalp changes, the problem may not be purely cosmetic. Consultation helps avoid time spent on the wrong product and brings in a dermatologist when needed.

Frequently asked questions
Can a mask treat hereditary hair loss?
No. A mask supports cosmetic care of the lengths; hereditary thinning needs a different plan.
Do more products mean better care?
Not necessarily. A clear, consistent routine and less ongoing damage are often a better starting point.
Does ESTERA provide these salon treatments?
This page is a care guide. Medical procedures and an individual plan are discussed at consultation.
